That’s a positive way of stating that sometimes life is a proverbial shit storm!
The past few months have been ripe with life-altering events, sickness, accidents, stresses and broken promises.
Sometimes that’s life. Some of these challenges I have reacted to fairly well and to others I have totally crumbled. And through each experience I was consistently reminded that “attitude is everything” and that I have a choice of how I react.
“Life is a storm, my young friend. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man (woman) is what you do when that storm comes.”
― Alexandre Dumas
Tough times are going to happen – that’s pretty much a guarantee. But how we react to them is up to us. Look for future posts on some of my successes and some of my utter failures when faced with adversary. Until then, take heart, chin up… and know that you will be OK.

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.
Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company… a church… a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past… we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude… I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.
And so it is with you… we are in charge of our attitudes.
